Abby and Oriel’s wedding unfolded quietly and beautifully at the foothills of the Andes in San Fernando. Abby and Oriel chose to be married in Chile to honor his heritage and family. It was an intimate gathering shaped by landscape, light, and return. It had been many years since Oriel had been back to Chile, and the day became a homecoming in every sense. He was reunited with friends and family, and Abby’s family was welcomed into the place and community that shaped him. Tucked away along the Rio Claro, the Shangri-La Lodge revealed itself like a secret – lush and surrounded by nature at every turn.
As the sun slipped behind the mountains, the celebration softened into something timeless. There were tears, shared memories, and the kind of joy that comes from being fully seen and held. We shared Chilean food and wine, laughter carried easily through the warm night air, and danced beneath a sky full of stars. The day felt less like an event and more like a return, where love, place, and belonging moved together in quiet harmony.
